1. Agreement and Acceptance

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the Lev2Euro mobile application (the "App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Lev2Euro is a currency conversion application that provides:

Core Features

• Currency Conversion: Convert between Bulgarian Lev (BGN) and Euro (EUR) using a fixed exchange rate
• OCR Price Scanning: Use device camera or photo library to scan and recognize prices from receipts and documents
• Saved Scans: Save up to 100 scan results with images, notes, and metadata for future reference
• Export Functionality: Export saved scans to PDF or CSV format
• Social Sharing: Generate branded images from scan results for sharing on social media
• Inflation Statistics: View official Consumer Price Index (CPI) data from Eurostat for Bulgaria, including overall rates and category breakdowns
• Inflation Data Sharing: Generate and share inflation statistics images via social media and messaging apps
• Q&A Resource: Access informational content about Euro transition with search and favorites
• Complaint Guidance: Get information and links to Bulgarian authorities for reporting Euro transition violations
• Quick Amount Buttons: Pre-set common amounts for faster conversion
• Dual Language Support: Available in Bulgarian and English
• Dark Mode Support: Adaptive interface based on system preferences

Premium Features

• Ad-Free Experience: Remove all advertisements through in-app purchase
• Enhanced Features: Additional functionality available to premium users

3. License and Usage Rights

Grant of License

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes on your iOS device.

Restrictions

You may NOT:

• Modify, reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Remove or modify any proprietary notices or labels
• Use the App for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Distribute, sublicense, or transfer the App to third parties
• Use the App to violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or services
• Use automated systems or software to extract data from the App

4. Exchange Rate Information

No Financial Advice

• The App is for informational and convenience purposes only
• Results should not be used for actual financial transactions without verification
• We recommend checking current rates with financial institutions for actual exchanges
• We are not responsible for any financial losses due to rate differences

5. OCR and Camera Features

Accuracy Disclaimer

• OCR (Optical Character Recognition) results may not be 100% accurate
• Users should verify all scanned amounts before relying on them
• Image quality, lighting, and text clarity affect recognition accuracy
• We are not responsible for incorrect price recognition or resulting calculations

Camera Permissions

• The App requires camera access to provide scanning functionality
• Camera access can be revoked in iOS Settings at any time
• Images are processed locally on your device and not stored or transmitted
• You are responsible for compliance with local laws regarding photography

6. Inflation Data and Third-Party Services

Eurostat Data

• Inflation statistics are retrieved from Eurostat (European Commission's statistical office)
• Data is provided "as is" from public Eurostat APIs without modification
• We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of Eurostat data
• Data availability depends on Eurostat's service availability and may be temporarily unavailable
• Historical data may be revised or updated by Eurostat after publication

Data Usage and Disclaimers

• Inflation data is for informational and educational purposes only
• Should not be used as the sole basis for financial or investment decisions
• We are not responsible for decisions made based on displayed inflation statistics
• Users should verify critical data with official Eurostat sources when needed
• Data caching may result in temporarily outdated information

Share Functionality

• Users can generate and share inflation statistics images via iOS share sheet
• Shared images contain publicly available inflation data with app branding
• Users are responsible for compliance with platform-specific sharing policies
• We do not control or monitor how shared content is used after leaving the app
• Shared images are attributed to Eurostat as the data source

Analytics and Tracking

• The App uses Firebase Analytics to improve user experience and app functionality
• Analytics data is collected according to our Privacy Policy
• Event tracking helps us understand feature usage and identify issues
• You can limit tracking through iOS privacy settings
• Analytics do not track actual conversion amounts or personal financial information

7. Saved Scans and Local Storage

Storage Limits

• The App stores a maximum of 100 saved scan results locally on your device
• When this limit is reached, the oldest scan is automatically deleted to make room for new scans
• Saved scans include: scan images (JPEG format), detected prices, timestamps, confidence scores, and optional user notes
• Scans are stored in your device's Documents directory using secure iOS storage mechanisms

User Responsibility

• You are responsible for managing your saved scans and ensuring they do not violate any laws or regulations
• You should back up important scan data using the export functionality before deletion
• You are responsible for securing exported files (PDF/CSV) and managing who has access to them
• You must comply with local laws when scanning documents, receipts, or other materials
• We are not responsible for data loss if you delete scans or uninstall the App

Data Retention

• Saved scans and local data persist until you manually delete them or uninstall the App
• We do not have access to your locally stored scan data
• When you uninstall the App, all saved scans and local data are permanently deleted by iOS
• Exported files (PDF/CSV) are not automatically deleted and remain on your device or chosen destination

8. User-Generated Content and Sharing

Content Generation

The App allows you to generate branded images containing your scan results and inflation data for sharing purposes:

• Scan Sharing: Generate branded images with your scan results, detected prices, and conversion information
• Inflation Sharing: Generate branded images with inflation statistics from Eurostat
• Format Options: Images are optimized for various social media platforms (Instagram Story, Instagram Post, Facebook, Twitter, generic format)
• Local Processing: All images are generated locally on your device
• App Branding: Generated images include Lev2Euro branding and attribution to data sources

User Responsibility for Shared Content

• You are solely responsible for content you generate and share using the App
• You must comply with the terms of service and community guidelines of platforms where you share content (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, etc.)
• You must ensure accuracy of shared information and not misrepresent data
• You are responsible for privacy of shared data - shared images may contain sensitive pricing information
• We do not control, monitor, or take responsibility for how your shared content is used after it leaves the App
• You must not use shared content for illegal, misleading, or fraudulent purposes

Export Functionality

• Exported files (PDF/CSV) are created temporarily on your device for sharing or record-keeping
• You are responsible for securing and managing these files after export
• Exported files contain scan images, prices, timestamps, notes, and metadata
• We are not responsible for unauthorized access to exported files
• You should delete exported files when no longer needed to protect sensitive information

9. Q&A Feature and Informational Content

Informational Purpose Only

• The Q&A feature provides general informational content about Euro transition in Bulgaria
• Content is for educational purposes only and should not be relied upon as professional or legal advice
• Information may become outdated as regulations and circumstances change
• We make no guarantees about the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of Q&A content
• Users should verify important information with official sources

Search and Favorites

• Search history and favorited questions are stored locally on your device
• You can clear search history and favorites at any time within the App
• Search functionality is provided as a convenience and may not return all relevant results

10. Complaint and Reporting Feature

Information and Guidance Only

• The complaint feature provides information and links to relevant Bulgarian authorities for reporting Euro transition violations
• We do NOT process, submit, or handle complaints on your behalf
• The App only displays authority contact information and opens their official websites
• We have no access to any complaint information you provide to authorities
• We are not affiliated with any of the listed authorities (NAP, KZP, BNB, KFN, MEGO)

External Authority Websites

• Clicking authority links opens external Bulgarian government websites in your browser
• We are not responsible for content, accuracy, or availability of authority websites
• We are not responsible for how authorities handle your complaints or inquiries
• Privacy practices of external authority sites are governed by their own policies
• You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of any complaint you submit to authorities

No Guarantee of Results

• Providing authority links does not guarantee that your complaint will be addressed
• Response times and actions taken by authorities are beyond our control
• We make no representations about the effectiveness of filing complaints through these channels

11. External Links and Third-Party Websites

Third-Party Websites

The App contains links to external websites including:

• Bulgarian government authority websites (NAP, KZP, BNB, KFN, MEGO)
• Eurostat (European Commission statistical office)
• Social media platforms when sharing content
• App Store for reviews and updates

Disclaimer

• We are not responsible for content, accuracy, or practices of external websites
• We do not endorse or guarantee the content of third-party websites
• External websites have their own privacy policies and terms of service
• Accessing external links is at your own risk
• We are not liable for damages resulting from your use of external websites

12. In-App Purchases and Premium Features

Payment Processing

• In-app purchases are processed through Apple App Store using Apple's StoreKit framework
• Subscription management is handled by RevenueCat, a third-party service
• Payment information is processed securely by Apple - we do not store your payment details
• Purchases are linked to your Apple ID
• Purchase data is subject to Apple's and RevenueCat's privacy policies

Premium Features

• Premium purchase removes all advertisements from the App
• Premium status is permanent - it is a one-time purchase, not a subscription
• Premium features apply to the Apple ID used for purchase across all your iOS devices
• We reserve the right to modify premium features with reasonable notice

Refund Policy

• All purchases are handled by Apple App Store and subject to Apple's refund policy
• To request a refund, contact Apple Support directly through the App Store
• We cannot process refunds directly as all transactions are managed by Apple
• Refund eligibility is determined by Apple according to their policies

Purchase Restoration

• You can restore previous purchases using the "Restore Purchases" option in the App
• Premium status is linked to your Apple ID and can be restored on new devices
• If you experience issues restoring purchases, contact our support team
• Purchases may take a few moments to process and activate

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

• Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
• Any loss of profits, revenue, data, or use
• Any damages resulting from reliance on app calculations, OCR results, inflation data, or Q&A content
• Any damages from third-party services, APIs, advertisements, or external websites
• Any damages from unavailability of Eurostat data or authority websites
• Any damages from sharing, misuse, or unauthorized access to generated content or exported files
• Any damages from data loss, including saved scans or user notes
• Any damages from authority responses or lack thereof to complaints
• Any damages exceeding the amount paid for the App (if any)

15. Governing Law and Disputes

• These Terms are governed by the laws of Bulgaria
• Any disputes will be resolved under Bulgarian law
• European Union regulations also apply where applicable
• We encourage resolution of disputes through direct communication
